About this spot
Woodman Point (“Woodies”) Beach One is an excellent flat-water location with minimal chop. While the sea-breeze winds are predominantly onshore, beginners are strongly encouraged to use Beach One rather than Beach Two or Beach Three. The area can become very crowded with learners, particularly to shore. Vehicle break-ins are common here, so be sure to remove all valuables from your car before heading onto the water.
