Baie de Beauport

An absolute treasure in the shadow of one of the world's most beautiful cities. Countless number of Quebec sailors learned the craft here, thanks to the wonderful little school that three guys in Quebec established here years ago. The school is still here, and it's a real asset. Lots of gear rentals, mostly focused on beginner and intermediate equipment. There's a fabulous boathouse here, unlike anything you'll find in any of the major launches around North America. The area is tide-sensitive, so stay out towards the main St. Lawrence flow during low tide as there are rocks lurking just beneath the surface in the shallows. But once the tide rolls in there's plenty of room to maneuver if you like flat water, you're gonna love this place on most days when the wind blows offshore once in a while, the wind does switch the other direction, turning up some solid swell.
